Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a gentle, uplifting approach that helps you focus on what’s going well and the changes you’d like to see.  Instead of dwelling on problems, SFBT supports you in building small, meaningful steps toward a calmer, more confident future.  Its a warm, encouraging therapy that helps you reconnect with your strengths and inner resources.  

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy offers a calm, supportive way to move forward when life feels heavy or overwhelming. By blending future focused conversation with deeply relaxing trance work, it helps you let go of unhelpful patterns and reconnect with your own strengths and resilience.

What To Expect

Initial consultation: During the initial consultation, Kathleen will ask you two key questions: ‘How can I help you?’ and ‘If our sessions are a success, what would you have achieved?’

From here, Kathleen will provide an overview of how the brain works and explain how, by changing the way we think and approach our lives, we can take back control and effect positive change. Kathleen will discuss goal-setting with you and help you to identify what you want from life and how hypnotherapy can help you achieve that.

As the sessions focus on the present and the future, Kathleen will not delve into your past but will instead help you to move forward and see a brighter life ahead. Subsequent sessions will build on helping you to identify solutions to your specific problems, using the unique combination of psychotherapy and hypnosis.

If you’re looking for short-term counselling that delivers meaningful, lasting change, Brief Therapy may be the right choice for you.

Sessions can be delivered online or in-person

All sessions are approximately 60 mins 

Phobias –  4 sessions complete (hourly)

Smoking Cessation – 1 session  (1 session x 2 hours) 

You will receive a beneficial guided relaxation recording, hypnotherapy recording or appropriate hypnobirthing recording.

During each session, Kathleen works collaboratively with you to:

  • Identify your goals and what you’d like to change.

  • Explore practical steps that lead to lasting results.

  • Build on your existing coping skills and personal strengths.

  • Encourage self-awareness, confidence, and emotional resilience.
